The Cosmos: The Arrivals, by Professor Gamer is released
Edge Interactive Publishing Inc. announces the publication of Book I of Professor Gamer's narratives, The Cosmos: The Arrivals.
The Arrivals depicts the first fourteen days of one Term in a very advanced role-playing sex Game. During The Arrivals, Monitor Babs and her seven Cosmos gals are introduced, the House and its environs are detailed, Pledge's body parts become exposed during contests between them, and the science fiction nature of the Props reveal themselves. Kundalini is loose. Some of the Cosmos will Opt Up and become Monitors next Term; some will Opt Down and lose rights.
Each of the Cosmos brings a unique perspective to the Game. Some of the eight gals are reserved and shy, some dominate, some are sexually aggressive, and some fear exposure. The scenes between them (and occasional males) ring true and familiar to those in the real BDSM world. Cosmos can be rude and abrupt, fanciful and full of humor, ill willed and revengeful, even loving. The magic in The Cosmos transcends state-of-the-art, and the reader is invited to become a Gamer as well, and participate in a highly interactive multi-media environment that stresses the Cosmos, creates alliances, and fuels animosities. Not all the Cosmos play fair; and Gamers don't always get what they want.
A collection of Floor Plans Appendices, Manifests, a Glossary, and an Index comprise 165 pages of the 550 page Arrivals. The Index encourages Gamers to follow a Cosmos, explore a fetish, follow a Prop, or monitor the ongoing contest/conflict or Obeisance.
The deeper philosophy expounded in the Book is one that seeks to balance sexual passion and aggression. Unlike some classical writers and even modern game fiction, The Cosmos is devoid of mayhem and death; the old wooden House contains a post-high tech infrastructure. The membrane of the Game (the conflicts) incorporates an expanse of role-playing sex play, from flirtatious looks and rosy cheeks to severe hazing, restraint, and capital abuse. The uninitiated reader will find that The Cosmos tests their comfort zone, whereas experienced Gamers will find the action tantalizing and relish being a player themselves in the Game. In the words of Charles Gatewood, "It sizzles!"
Professor Gamer is the pseudonym of a computer graphics and animation pioneer, a Doctor and self-proclaimed "Bikini Scientist," a 2257 Custodian, and the inventor of SexFo. In his various personas the Professor has authored or edited over 20 books including museum catalogues; trade hardbound books on computer graphics, animation, and muti-media; and picture books on burlesque, body art, and pinups. He has produced and directed video games and television, and written and acted in feature film and television. His organizational designs of costumes, the body, and situational sexual categories, pioneered in BikiniScience and Picticon.com, have been widely emulated throughout the industry and on sites like Wikipedia.
